Dean and Dan Caten are The Substitutes…

Appearing in Dsquared2’s Fall/Winter 2012 advert shot by Mert and Marcus, the twins along with Benedikt Angerer, Simon Van Meervenne, Liuk Bass, Ralf Javoiss, Daphne Groeneveld, Frida Aasen and Bette Franke have a jolly good time.

Can we just go on record and say how in LOVE with this video we are. I mean anything with guys in heels, a little catwalk training, and even a love tap and make out sesh or two is gold in our book. The 1:30 clip really epitomizes everything in which Dsquared and the Caten twins represent, something we have always loved; their fearlessness to do and design whatever they want and their lighthearted view of fashion. Never one to take themselves or their collection to seriously, even at one point donning the rhinestoned heels themselves. The video is sheer EPIC, NEXT LEVEL, HEAVEN and looked like a darn good time!

P.S. The only criticism that we do have for the brand is that within their lengthy career we have seen a blatant lack of diversity within their adverts. While letting minorities like Tyson Beckford rip their runway, they have yet to allow someone of ethnic decent bare it all in one of their sexually charged campaigns. Tsk Tsk Tsk, heres to hopping that the industry wakes up and realizes that true art and fashion is to imitate real life, and in real life their are a plethora of looks, colors, shapes, and ideas…
